OUR TEAM

The Mobility + Transport sector is a newly created team within H+K that helps brands navigate the ever-changing mobility revolution. With an increasing demand for cleaner and more flexible ways for people, goods and services to move around, from automotive and transport to infrastructure and logistics, we create compelling communications that change behaviours, drive demand and shape reputation.

The Mobility + Transport team has been recognised for excellence in communications, winning awards at the highest level including a Gold Cannes Lion in 2022 as well as multiple other prestigious industry awards. This is a great time for a high performing comms operator, with solid experience of campaign development, execution, and project management, to work on one of the most exciting sectors in the industry.

THE ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • We are looking for an experienced and agile Account Director with consumer brand expertise and a passion for all things ‘mobility’, servicing a major automotive brand as well as pursuing new business opportunities in this exciting space
  • Deep industry knowledge is advantageous but an eye for game-changing creative, an obsession for client service and meticulous campaign delivery are a must.
  • The role will be primarily to join an established client-service team servicing a major automotive brand. Working at European level to develop centralised strategy, campaigns and story content, the team’s remit is to add value to the client’s in-house team by bringing the ‘outside in’ to create powerful earned stories and campaigns that deliver cut-through with tier one media and influencers to build brand trust, relevance, and drive advocacy.
  • In addition to this, the role also involves participating in new business pitches as well as servicing other clients within Mobility + Transport’s growing portfolio which includes International Airlines Group (Cargo and Avios) and Metro Supply Chain.
  • The successful candidate will come with consumer agency experience and will be able to plan, manage and implement product launch and brand-building campaigns, support on events (ability to undertake travel within Europe is a must), deliver social asset and content production, and drive integrated storytelling and media strategy.
  • They will ideally already have experience of working within an integrated agency environment and planning integrated communications campaigns, but also a keen eye for media stories, strong experience of media relations and the ability to apply this knowledge across a mix of multi-market and local market clients.
  • Experience of working at a European level or within a multi-market team structure is advantageous.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Solid communications experience ideally gained within a fast-paced PR agency environment and an interest in working within a European hub role (but also offering the flexibility to work on UK-focussed clients as well)
  • Demonstrable passion for developing creative campaign and story ideas that will deliver high impact consumer media and automotive coverage.
  • Strong media relations experience – while this is not a 100% media relations role, it is critical that the candidate is a natural publicist; tapped into the consumer news agenda, with the ability to identify compelling story angles that generate impactful coverage across multiple markets.
  • A robust track record of multi-disciplinary and/or integrated agency campaign work for heavyweight clients
  • Experience at supporting/managing events and co-ordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent client servicing skills, with a track record of developing lasting client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and agency partners to develop stories and campaigns.
  • Ideally has a passion for or experience within the mobility/automotive industry.
  • A confident team player with the ability to quickly build strong inter-team relationships and lead independently on projects for senior clients.
  • High energy multi-tasker, quick and diligent with creativity and impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience of managing junior colleagues
