Senior Account Executive

H+K Strategies is searching for a highly motivated, talented Senior Account Executive to support one of the world’s largest technology companies within our growing U.S. Technology practice. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and executing strategic executive communications programs that connect to innovative, emerging technologies
  • Leveraging top-tier media relationships to drive successful earned media outcomes for clients
  • Exercising creativity in account strategy and planning
  • Providing clients with proactive and informed recommendations based on a true understanding of, and changes within, the media landscape
  • Using data and analytics to report results and insights that are valuable to the client and key executives
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with client contacts
  • Proactively identifying and developing story angles or new ideas
  • Contributing superb writing abilities and developing materials that articulate and promote our client’s initiatives and programs
  • Generating fresh ideas for programs, events and media outreach that parallel client objectives
  • Working closely with H+K team members and key client contacts across multiple projects at the same time, ensuring high quality and precision on client deliverables
  • Contributing creativity, passion, and expertise to an entrepreneurial team environment where everyone’s voice is heard, highly valued and rewarded

 What you’ll need to get here:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Located in the Pacific Time Zone; California or San Francisco-based is preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years experience in strategic communications/public relations; experience working with clients in the technology sector; agency experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record of successful planning and executing executive communications programs that meet client business objectives
  • Earned media expertise with the ability to develop media strategy and secure earned media coverage for clients
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape; proactive in tracking relevant changes in the media and the ability to make recommendations/share insight with client contacts based on those changes
  • Digital & social media savvy with an understanding of how toreach a target audience anddrive engagement through new media
  • Enthusiasm for working as a leader within a team, managing, and upskilling junior staff while modeling corporate culture values
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with client contacts
  • Superb writing and editing skills across a variety of platforms with a keen eye for detail and love of the written word
