Director, Talent Acquisition

Acme Inc. is looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition who will help ensure we have world-class talent to bring great design to everyone and empower independent artists everywhere. As the leader of the recruiting function at Acme, you will have an amazing opportunity to build and drive the function at one of the most exciting and fast-growing Internet technology companies in in the world. You'll help us compete for the best software engineers, graphic designers, marketers, accountants, merchandisers, and other functional experts across industries, building upon our strong business momentum and the love our customers have for our products. This position will be based at our beautiful San Francisco headquarters.
You will:
• Partner with our leaders to develop hiring plans that accelerate us towards our ambitious goals
• Build an amazing team deeply committed to bringing the best talent everywhere to Acme
• Find creative ways to make our recruiting brand the place to start and pursue a career in next-generation technology products
• Create a strong recruiting culture at Acme where hiring managers and employees feel ownership and accountability for bringing the best people they want to work with to the company
• Assess competitive landscape for talent across industries and strategize how to consistently win
• Deploy innovative tactics in candidate sourcing including talent networks, social channels, cold calling, viral marketing campaigns, public meet-ups and events, employee referrals, and more
• Ensure every candidate has a delightful customer experience that they rave about to others
• Drive our annual seasonal high-volume hiring for customer operations for temporary employees to support our holiday business peak in November and December
• Build a data-driven recruiting organization and process, including analytics and dashboards
• Continually optimize our Applicant Tracking System to help our recruiting team and hiring managers use time more efficiently and generate insights on how we can improve overall
• Develop an agile, efficient model with in-house team members, search firms/agencies, contractors, etc. that meet different hiring needs for headquarters and customer operations
• Launch initiatives to strengthen the diversity of our talent at all stages of the hiring funnel
You are:
• Strategic, structured and savvy, bringing together business judgment and deep recruiting expertise
• Collaborative and build trust-based relationships with your internal customers, our hiring managers
• Comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly changing environments, and building from scratch
• Creative, scrappy and resourceful in finding and hiring unique and unexpected candidates
• Analytical and metric-oriented, always seeking internal and external data to validate our approach
You have:
• 8-10 years full-cycle recruiting experience in hiring for roles ranging from entry-level to executive
• Built and inspired a high-performing recruiting team to deliver against aggressive hiring targets
• Led recruiting in a high-growth environment (ideally in consumer/tech industries)
• Managed external agencies, search firms, and other recruiting vendors to augment your team
• Experience completing Director-level searches with internally sourced candidates
• Successfully managed an ATS implementation
