Acme Inc. is a leading biologics company specializing in antibody and protein engineering, cell line development, and protein production. Our services can be fully integrated, creating a customized solution for all our customer’s molecular biology, cell line, and protein needs.
We are rapidly growing and seeking a talented individual(s) to join our Operations Team as the Scientist. In this role you will be part of the Antibody Engineering Group, responsible for phage library construction and screening, new antibody discovery and affinity maturation, as well as the companion biochemical assays. You will report directly to Principal Scientist and will work at our Boston location.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Working on various projects for our clients that involve the discovery of novel antibodies or Engineering of existing antibodies to improve their functional activities
- In order to achieve these goals, bench work on phage or yeast surface display methodologies and high throughout ELISA or Flow Cyometry-based screening is required
- Responsible for work with junior scientists to facilitate troubleshooting activities is desired
- Assist in preparing requests for proposals or statements of work
Requirements
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related field
- Extensive experience in molecular biology and cell culture techniques is required
- Experience in ELISA and FACS based screening is desired
- Phage/yeast/mRNA display experience is desired
- Knowledge of DNA sequence analysis software is required
- Excellent attention to detail, record keeping, and communication skills
- Strong ability to work on multiple projects at once
- Strong ability to manage work with minimal supervision
- Biotech industry experience is desirable
- Proficient with MS Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
