The role:
  • Roll up your sleeves and tackle technical problems.  Deliver products that delight customers

  • Design the detailed feature set and functionality alongside product management; iterate on the product
  • Design and implement desktop products using a combination of technologies
  • Be a technical leader to a team of outstanding software engineers
  • Mentor other developers across design, development, and product
  • Focus on creating a great product and building with a passion
  • Generate great software design and great code, very quickly, with relatively few bugs
  • Design detailed feature sets and functionality alongside product management; iterate on the product
Must haves:
  • 10+ years of experience shipping commercial desktop software
  • 6+ years of experience developing commercial desktop applications for Windows
  • 6+ years with C++, C#, .NET, COM and ATL
  • Strong knowledge of HTTP, Rest/SOAP, XML and multi-threaded development
  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of ReST and how to consume from .Net
  • Demonstrable experience creating complex designs following best practices, including object oriented principles, design patterns, and unit testing
  • Passion for delivering a great user interface with a seamless user experience
  • The ability to know where you can make the most impact, dive in anywhere, and work across the entire codebase when needed
  • Ability to accurately estimates projects and complete work with minimal oversight
Nice to Haves:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience in the Agile process a plus
  • Test driven development and knowledge of test automation frameworks a plus
  • Experience developing Mac applications is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Windows or Mac File Systems
  • Experience developing addins to applications using public APIs, including Outlook or Office products
  • Experience with Windows Explorer extensions, Web Browser extensions, or Mac Finder extensions
