JUNIOR DIGITAL DESIGNER

Reporting to the US Creative Director, the Graphic Designer Responsible for executing multi-channel design concepts for regional HH Global clients.

We are looking for an exceptional self-driven digital savvy  Production Designer with the ability to create both print and digital assets for multimedia and graphics projects - rich media including but not limited to: videos, banners, microsites, jump pages, email campaigns, blogs, press releases, static / animated banners, websites, mobile apps, animations, emails, social media, and interactive displays. The ideal candidate should be able to efficiently combine creativity, functionality, and technology to produce eye-catching and informative content. In this role, creative and technical skills are key, and must possess in-depth knowledge of design software programs.

A digital concentration with emphasis on digital media outputs across all platforms -- user-friendly. Work closely with Design Leads and Art Director, creatives, project managers and clients to deliver creative tasks with innovative and fresh ideas in line with the client’s visual identity guideline using multiple software platforms for final asset outputs.

Offer key stakeholders consultancy-type service when developing their product.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop creative solutions to meet the client’s needs, in line with their overall marketing strategy, working with HH Global account teams and Creative Production Services and Design teams.

  • Responsible for complete development of specific projects, from concept, through design, to creating media-ready artwork.

  • Ensure that the client’s visual identity guidelines are upheld.

  • Work alongside the US Art Director, Senior Designer and Lead Production Artist, to monitor their own executions for quality, content and effectiveness to ensure the design creative is innovative and fresh in line with the regional client’s visual identity guidelines.
  • Aware on an on-going basis of design trends, undertaking appropriate research when required, thus ensuring HH client’s creative is innovative and appropriate for their regional audience.

  • Conceptualize and create digital assets, and adapt existing artwork for multi-resolution platforms using industry standard software packages, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
  • Communicate and present design concepts through sketches and storyboards to gain initial approval. 
  • Routing files for approval and releasing organized files to production management when approved for both digital and print.
  • Investigate, test, and recommend alternative production methods, both technical and process-oriented, as needed, to supervisor
  • Translate designs into ongoing and updated layout specifications and templates for partners to deliver raw assets; provide additional feedback and direction for assets that don't meet guidelines. 
  • Deliver highest-quality assets for designs that range across multiple devices and regions, as requested by stakeholders within expected timelines and without error. Ensure all assets are on brand and strategically aligned with team vision, paying close attention to detail with zero tolerance for inconsistency in design.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and interest in production design while preserving respect for the creative process; welcomes feedback and iterative design environment. 
  • Assist in training new designers supporting new platforms and provide back up design support, as needed.
  • Prepare comps and mockups, often at full-size, for use in presentations.
  • Assist in the archival and cataloging of digital assets

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BA/BS in Graphic Design or related field (In lieu of degree, 3+ years relevant work experience)
  • An exceptional online portfolio showcasing innovative design concepts and highly considered visual executions of digital work.
  • Proven experience designing assets for retail, consumer brands, or marketing campaigns
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), Sketch, Figma, Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Forms, Sites, etc.) Keynote, Powerpoint
  • Familiarity with content sizes and outputs per platform requirement.
  • High level understanding of responsive design, social media outputs and digital reformatting.
  • UI / UX design and execution
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS with ability to build digital assets such as EDMs, websites and occasional web content
  • Storyboarding, 2D animation and video editing / creation experience in After Effects and other editing software such as Premiere a MUST
  • Possible knowledge creating 3d objects in Blender, Rhino, or other 3D applications, etc.
  • Experience preparing both physical product production files for manufacturing and digital assets for multiple platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, keen eye for 'on-brand' implementations, composition and design fundamentals
