Studio Product Stylist

Creative Services Mountain View, California



We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and organized Stylist to join our on-site Photography team, based in Mountain View, CA. The Stylist role supports one of our largest clients, who is a leader in the tech space, and involves cross-functional collaborative work with all functions of the internal photo studio team and clients/partners outside of the studio. This is not a remote or hybrid role. The Stylist is required to be onsite in Mountain View during business hours on weekdays.

This role will work on-site with a photography team and creative directors to help create scenes to photograph for marketing creative by executing product, set, and/or model styling with regards to brand standards including:

  • Product/Hardware Styling: laydowns and rigging of electronic devices for product photography ensuring the products are clean and dust free.
  • Lifestyle Styling: sourcing and styling a variety of lifestyle scenes including propping, set building, and fashion styling. Smaller percentage of styling work is Lifestyle.
  • Product Management: coordinate intake with stakeholders and manage physical product library, including tracking product colorways, versions, changes, and status information. Take ownership of correct product tracking for shoots.


  • Work side by side with photographers as they shape light on set and be the point of contact managing props/hardware for shoot attendees.
  • Communicate with industrial designers to ensure the most up to date hardware samples are available in studio for the photo shoot.
  • Reference product tracker prior to shoot to stay informed on sample status and confirm correct and best available product is used on set.
  • Intake creative briefs or art direction to execute product, set, and/or model styling with consideration of brand guidelines and product standards.
  • Document and send questions to various producers (internal and external) on all active jobs.
  • Sync with photography producer daily on action items in active jobs, define clear roles and responsibilities for next step and actions.
  • Maintain overall product intake, tracking, and shipments, communicating real-time updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain security of all product within the studio and help team ensure studio security practices are upheld.
  • Keep expendables in studio stocked and communicate with photography leads on needs.
  • Update project management system daily with project status.
  • Build or have existing relationships with local prop houses for rentals.
  • Maintain internal props/book to share with stakeholders for shoots.
  • Coordinate with creative directors to source props appropriate for the photography execution.
  • Create treatments with props sourced in a creative deck with stakeholders.
  • Work within budgets for every shoot:
    • Document expense reports and cost centers.
    • Use corporate credit card for rentals/purchases following close collaboration with photo producer and budget approvals from photography lead.
    • Wrap out budget sheets/returns within one week of shoot completion.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude with partners and teammates.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and client-facing skills, as well as strong emotional intelligence/maturity.
  • Adapt well and be comfortable with ambiguity, shifting schedules/priorities, and changing direction on set.
  • Have strong personal time-management skills and the proven ability to balance multiple shifting priorities.
  • Proactively pursue an organized workspace with the goal of minimalism and sustainability.


The US base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, education, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.  

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives in addition to base salary.
