MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER

As Product Marketing Manager on the Merchant Marketing team, your focus on building products that make money more helpful for people everywhere.  You will lead development of some of the organization’s most innovative initiatives. That means shaping and expressing the team’s vision through compelling content and experiences that drive impact. You will lead creative agencies and work closely with our partners in Product Management, Business Development, Developer Relations and Consumer Marketing.

The right candidate will bring experience in product marketing in B2B as well as B2C, including product launch, positioning and messaging. You have expertise in marketing to large (Enterprise) and small (SMB) businesses. And you have a track record of successful cross-functional leadership including with Product Management, Engineering, UX, Business Development, PR, Finance, Legal, and Regional Marketing stakeholders. You communicate effectively, thrive in ambiguous environments, embrace complexity, and bring insight, structure, and creativity to solve hard problems. Lastly, you’re excited about the fintech space.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Lead the development and execution of a coherent thought B2B leadership strategy for the product, targeting Merchants as well as Financial Institutions.

● Focus on US market (though content may be used globally)

● Develop the thought leadership strategy including the content calendar and events.

● Manage thought leadership budget; build the case for additional investment insofar relevant

● Liaise with internal stakeholders (PM, BD, PR, Developer Relations and Consumer Marketing) to secure input and buy-in

Own the creative brief, oversee execution and manage relations with external (creative) agencies including Redwood

REQUIREMENTS

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

● 5+ years’ experience in marketing roles

Proven track record in B2B or B2B2C marketing

● Deep knowledge and excitement for the payments industry

● Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically

● Master communicator with ability to convey strategy, handle objections, and work collaboratively with a variety of teams
