Video Social Strategist

We are looking for a talented video producer and editor to support our client in planning, execution, and assembly of recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director's vision and is suitable for broadcasting. Ultimately, you should be able to produce concepts and bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story.


  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
  • Take a brief to grasp client and production team needs and specifications
  • Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
  • Create rough and final cuts
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Own, define and execute the overall video production roadmap, leading quarterly planning efforts for new product introductions and sustaining product engagement. Adapt schedules to meet deadlines, overcome conflicts, partner with stakeholders to work through scope changes, and prioritize production tasks to ensure quality content
  • Ensure all video projects are well defined, resourced, and executed on time and on quality
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets for production, procurement, and operating costs
  • Actively participate in multiple video shoots a year (lighting, product placement, talent directing, etc)
  • Lead strategy for YouTube content and publishing, managing, and socializing best practices to cross-department leads and stakeholders
  • Analyze metrics and data for videos published on YouTube, synthesizing learnings and next steps in monthly recaps for cross-functional partner review and incorporate learnings into go-forward strategy.
  • Manage client/agency/vendor relationships to effectively execute deliverables in an efficient and timely manner.


  • Proven work experience as a video editor
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Comfort and familiarity with planning, producing, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
