Technical Project Manager, Digital in Retail

The Technical Project Manager, Digital in Retail will be responsible for the implementation and overall management of digital executions per site as well as the ongoing management of the tech services support desk. This high-profile onsite role will manage the deployment, go live, and ongoing maintenance strategy with all key stakeholders and suppliers against the defined rollout and maintenance KPIs.


  • Build successful relationships with:
    • the central digital team, the client, and the overall account team to manage the implementation and deployment of new digital rollouts
    • the regional execution teams to manage the introduction and deployment of new or existing client solution rollouts
    • the client business leads and key decision makers to increase and expand opportunities by identifying production solutions that are optimized and scalable
  • Contribute technically to the overall design of global solutions for any new strategy and deployment
  • Work closely with the central digital team, the overall account team, and partners
  • Support the operational activities for Digital in Retail technology solutions, ensuring proposals are robust and fully tested prior to development
  • Engage with tech solutions providers for beta testing and solution releases
  • Provide ongoing operational and strategic insights and revise solutions and recommendations based on the changing market dynamics and industry trends
  • Participate in quarterly and yearly analysis
  • Manage the overall supplier base to execute and maintain the deployment and maintenance SLAs and KPIs
  • Support the preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews to present to the client and internal management for rollout and maintenance activities
  • Support new business with a focus on operational scaling and excellence
  • Travel regionally as required to participate in internal, client, and vendor meetings and market checks


  • 7+ years’ experience in execution of Digital for Retail solutions with a focus on deployment, operational management, reporting, and documentation
  • 7+ years’ experience managing Digital for Retail project rollout initiatives either within a multinational organization or in a retail agency environment
  • Understanding of digital signage components, primarily software, hardware, and Screen OEMs, reporting, analytics, content design install, maintenance, and customer services support desk with reporting and ticketing
  • Experience working with suppliers and vendors in the industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with all levels of professionals
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook), e-procurement, HTML5, General principles of CMS in the industry and ERP tools knowledge is preferable
  • Demonstrated aptitude in learning new technology for application in a professional environment
  • Ability to work independently with a drive to continually hit goals and succeed
  • Client communication and problem-solving experience with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to commute to Portland, OR client headquarters on a weekly basis
