PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Reporting to the department Lead, the Production Designer is responsible for executing multi-channel production for one of our largest clients who is a leader in the tech space. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver highest-quality assets for designs that range across multiple devices and regions, as requested by stakeholders within expected timelines (2 - 7 business days), and without error. Ensure all assets are on brand and strategically aligned with team vision, paying close attention to detail with zero tolerance for inconsistency in design.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and interest in production design while preserving respect for the creative process; welcomes feedback and an iterative design environment. 
  • Ensure that the client’s visual identity guidelines are upheld.
  • Create digital assets, and adapt existing artwork for multi-resolution platforms using industry standard software packages, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma.
  • Responsible for regional art worker output, providing feedback on print and digital executions.
  • Collaborate with and mentor regional art workers.
  • Communicate and present assets to gain approval; Work directly with local and regional business partners to ensure accuracy of assets, including translations and localizations. 
  • Adapt designs into ongoing and updated layout specifications and templates for partners to deliver raw assets; provide additional feedback and quality control for assets that don't meet guidelines. 
  • Provide organized assets in a way that can be visually referenced and integrated by cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Extract and develop good art from bad art, select suitable stock photography and adapt existing art to enhance products and brands. 
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions and provide leadership in assessing and updating specification documentation as platforms and UX evolves.
  • Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders via strong communication, presentation, documentation, interpersonal and analytical skills. 
  • Assist in training new designers supporting new platforms and provide back up design support, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BA/BS in Graphic Design or related field. In lieu of degree, 4-8 years relevant production work experience. 
  • Proven production design experience working with assets for retail, consumer brands, or marketing campaigns.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), Sketch, Figma.
  • Experience preparing production files for both print and digital assets across multiple platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, keen eye for 'on-brand' implementations, composition and design fundamentals.
  • Well organized, uses time efficiently, concentrates efforts on multiple important priorities, plans activities and projects well in advance, and monitors progress against clearly communicated objectives; uses resources effectively and where necessary; is flexible in realigning plans to changing circumstances; energized by tough challenges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
  • Self-starter and effective problem solver who thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to communicate and openness to feedback.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build good working relationships.
  • Maintains a positive outlook at work, is cool under pressure, and is resilient in the face of setbacks and difficult situations.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Experience in retouching is a plus
  • Experience using GSuite and Google Slides.
