Equity Analyst, Public Real Estate Securities

Our Hong Kong office is seeking an Equity Analyst to join our Public Real Estate Securities team. We are looking for a motivated, curious self-starter with a genuine passion for public markets and real estate. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and brings both analytical rigor and sharp insight to the investment decision-making process.
Based in Hong Kong, the Equity Analyst will report directly to the Head of APAC, Public Securities, while working closely with members of our global securities team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Research & Due Diligence: Perform and maintain rigorous due diligence on companies under coverage; conduct comprehensive financial analysis, incorporating macroeconomic data and transactional trends.
- Financial Modeling: Develop, enhance, and maintain internal corporate financial models, proprietary stock screening tools, and valuation frameworks.
- Market Engagement: Participate in corporate management meetings, earnings calls, and industry conferences to gather primary research and sector insights.
- Idea Generation: Formulate compelling investment theses and generate actionable stock recommendations backed by robust, evidence-based research and a disciplined investment process.
- Ad-hoc Support: Assist with internal portfolio management tasks, investor reporting, and external client requests as required.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in buy-side or sell-side equity research roles.
- Experience with listed real estate securities is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling at both the corporate (company) and individual asset levels.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and independently, with a track record of forming data-driven, differentiated investment views.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and logically.
- Fluency in an additional Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese) is a strong advantage.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, while equally open-minded and adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and colleagues at all levels.
Job Location and Travel
- This position is based in our Hong Kong office and will occasionally take regional travels.
- Our teams work in a hybrid environment, and in-office days vary by team.
