Position Summary
Heifer International is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to lead the strategic communications efforts for its programs in Haiti. Reporting to the Senior Country Director, the Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the country program's communications strategy, increasing the visibility of projects, coordinating relationships with partners, donors, and the media, and promoting effective internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the country program's communications strategy.
- Design and execute communication plans for projects and initiatives.
- Produce high-quality communication materials for diverse audiences.
- Enhance the visibility of projects and manage communication platforms.
- Lead media relations and represent Heifer International at public events.
- Support the preparation of technical and institutional reports.
- Supervise communications staff and strengthen team capacity.
- Identify and manage organizational reputation risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in communications management, preferably within an international development organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Strong knowledge of digital communication tools and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in communications, Public Relations, International Development, or a related field.
- Experience working on donor-funded projects (USAID or other international donors).
- Experience in agriculture, rural development, climate change, or value chain development.
- Fluency in English, French, and Haitian Creole; Spanish is considered an asset

Contract Type: Permanent contract
