Human Resources Service Center Specialist
Description
- Partner with employees and management to provide guidance on policies, procedures, employment laws, government regulations.
- Perform full employee life cycle activities including facilitation of orientation and onboarding/offboarding activities, across all levels including using a variety of HR Systems including our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Maintain accurate HRIS and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos) and produce reports as needed
- Coordinate and administer employee leaves, including medical, personal, workers’ compensation, and military leave, in compliance with policies and legal requirements
- Respond to employee relations issues, escalating as appropriate
- Participate in and may lead project teams to implement people strategies for business improvement
- Collaborate with leadership to drive people processes, ensuring employee capabilities align with current and future business needs
- Experience in Human Resources or related field, with a combination of education and work experience totaling 3–6 years
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables, apply complex formulas, analyze data sets, and generate reports to support decision-making
- Experience with FMLA, employment law, and compliance with government regulations
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), I9 verification software, HRIS, and timekeeping systems
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to handle escalated and sensitive employee relations situations with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism
- Good judgment to research, analyze, and recommend solutions consistent with policies, laws, and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
