Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Stoves Business Unit in Halifax, PA. As one of our four core business units, the Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands such as Harman, Vermont Castings, and Quadra-Fire, now united under one as Forge & Flame. This team is focused on delivering high-quality, reliable wood, pellet, and gas stove solutions that customers trust.
Engineering Technicians work under the direction of engineering team members to support the design, development, launch and sustaining engineering for existing and future hearth products. Their work will directly support the laboratory’s goal to develop and launch products that address short, medium and long-term needs of the business and ultimately to help grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams in the design, development, launch, and continuous improvement of hearth products
- Set up, conduct, and troubleshoot product and prototype testing while ensuring accurate data collection and reporting
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations that improve product performance, quality, and manufacturability
- Build and evaluate prototypes using a variety of fabrication methods and equipment
- Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept through production launch
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering, product development, testing, laboratory, or manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting technical testing, troubleshooting issues, and analyzing results
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional team
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting new product development and prototype testing
· Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, or similar manufacturing processes
· Experience with testing equipment, laboratory environments, or data acquisition systems
