Fireside Hearth and Home (FHH) is looking to add a Field Technician in Myrtle Beach, SC.

We are currently seeking a Fireplace Installer to provide professional in-home installation of fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and facings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installations of gas (direct vents, up & out vents), wood (venting) and electric fireplaces and insulation materials according to company safety and installation standards, manufacturer’s specification and local building codes
- Perform installations of gas (direct vents, up & out vents), wood (venting) and electric fireplaces and insulation materials according to required standards
- Maintain working knowledge of all fireplaces, stove, and related home products along with any manufacturer’s changes.
- Perform routine maintenance on fireplaces including cleaning, inspecting and servicing components.
- Diagnose and repair fireplace components to resolve operating problems (including but not limited to ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure).
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide needed information and to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Assists with the morning check in and check out members and subcontractors.
- Ensures the jobsite is ready for the fireplace and facing installations.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and meet all FHH driving standards.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers and members at all levels.
- Must have good written communication skills and good computer skills.
- Must have proven technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Possess good customer service skills and possess problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage stress with a positive attitude.
- Must have a willingness to learn.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and possess the ability to follow up on issues until resolved.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and have initiative.
- Tablet/Computer experience.
