Stellar Hearth Products, a division of Hearth and Home Technologies, is hiring a Utility Lead at their Lakeville, MN location. Stellar creates unique and custom gas fireplaces to meet the unique needs and desires of our customers. 

Essential Functions:

• Fills in wherever needed in the department to achieve daily schedule attainment.
• Identify the root cause of problems and implement corrective action to minimize impact to internal/external customers.
• Ensure product quality standards and required quality checks are maintained. 
• Coordinate part flow in and out of the department, including part and material orders and coordination of cycle counting activities where applicable. 
• Construct sub-assemblies, assemblies and finished product.
• Cooperate in rework of non-conforming product. 
• Ensure members are trained to and follow department standards (standard work, quality, safety, TPMS, 5S, etc.).
• Help break bottlenecks through troubleshooting and problem solving techniques. 
• Effectively communicate with members and other support functions (Materials, Purchasing, Maintenance, etc.).
• Act as a trainer and mentor for other members of the department.
• Support the launch of new products, processes, and procedures.
• Encourage and foster a culture of teamwork and respect.
• Actively promote the Rapid Continuous Improvement culture within department.
• Fill in for group lead and perform those job duties as needed.
• May fill in for other areas/lines in plant as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge in the RCI principles and test applications
