Position Summary
The Associate General Counsel will partner with the Chief Legal Officer in managing the legal affairs of the Company.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers, vendors, partners and others to manage and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including value based risk arrangements
• Collaborate with executive and senior team members to provide advice and professional guidance on legal and regulatory risks
• Support the development of internal policies and guidelines to ensure a culture of legal and regulatory compliance
• Conduct legal research to assess federal and state regulatory requirements
• Manage various legal actions and complaints including human resource EEOC and employee matters
• Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices
• Proactively identify and resolve legal and related matters impacting the Company
• Support leadership in the development and delivery of new products, processes, and initiatives
• Work in partnership with the Compliance team to resolve complaints, compliance issues and investigations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BA/BS
• JD from accredited law school
• Active license from applicable state bar
• Ten plus years healthcare and healthcare services experience
• Ten plus years legal experience and prior experience working in house
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross functionally
• Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex, value based contracts with payors and providers

Travel
