Healthmap is undergoing explosive growth and looking to double-down on providing an industry-leading member/ patient experience. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Product Management to lead the development and execution of our member engagement strategies and digital intervention programs. This individual would own the full end-to-end journey of our members (both the service/ clinical layer and the technology/ digital asset experience). This leadership role is pivotal in designing and implementing services and products that enhance patient engagement, support self-management, result in behavior change, and improve health outcomes for individuals living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management within the healthcare or digital health sectors, with a keen understanding of population health management and patient-centric solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for member engagement and digital interventions aligned with the company’s mission and goals in CKD management. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user needs assessments to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization. Build point of view on differentiation and defensibility for all products in the company, defining what product attributes are ‘table stakes’ and what will define a successful market position
- Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation, requirements gathering, design, development, to launch and post-launch optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, clinical experts, data scientists, and operations to ensure successful product delivery.
- Member Engagement: Design and implement strategies to enhance member engagement through personalized communication, behavioral nudges, and interactive digital tools. Utilize data analytics to track engagement metrics, identify trends, and inform iterative improvements to engagement strategies.
- Digital Interventions: Oversee the development of digital intervention programs such as mobile applications, telehealth solutions, and remote monitoring tools tailored to chronic disease management. Ensure digital interventions are evidence-based, user-friendly, and compliant with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product initiatives related to member engagement and digital interventions. Gather and incorporate feedback from healthcare providers, patients, partners, and our internal clinical staff to refine product offerings.
- Performance & Optimization: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of engagement and intervention products. Implement data-driven approaches to optimize product features and enhance user experience
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, designers, and associated roles, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Promote best practices in product management and agile methodologies within the team and broader organization.
Requirements and qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or STEM field; MBA is preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of product management experience in the healthcare, digital health, or population health management sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products focused on patient engagement and chronic disease management, preferably in CKD or similar areas.
- Familiarity with digital health technologies such as mobile health apps, telemedicine platforms, and remote patient monitoring systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive user adoption and engagement in digital health solutions.
- Strong network within the healthcare industry, including relationships with providers, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
- Strong technical understanding to be able to work with Engineering and Data Science teams.
- Ability to navigate through situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solutions.
- Expertise in strategic thinking, building business cases, and getting buy-in from the organization.
Skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail with an action/results orientation.
- Strong understanding of population health management principles and CKD clinical pathways.
- Expertise in user-centered design, customer journey mapping, and behavioral science as applied to health interventions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to translate data insights into actionable product enhancements.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare technology (e.g., HIPAA, FDA regulations).
- Demonstrated problem prevention/problem solving abilities. Talented in strong relationship building. Excellent oral, written, and public presentation skills
