Position Summary

The Principal Strategic Solutions Architect is responsible for interfacing directly with ‘business’ and ‘IT’ leadership to translate business needs into extensible enterprise solutions. Generally speaking, these solutions will be net-new platforms or net-new technical approaches to ‘business’ needs or product gaps.   A principal Strategic Solutions Architect will ensure that at all levels of technical R&D the resulting solution remains congruent with the business drivers.   Effective Principal Strategic Architects will actively design, prototype, build, scale and deploy solutions from ‘white screens’ ensuring solutions are technically effective and congruent with a portfolio of enterprise software and hardware assets.     Where necessary, individuals in this roll with aid IT leadership in selection and implementation of portfolio software and hardware and service solutions.  

Responsibilities

  • Identify solutions for new databases and new data architecture
  • Determine the requirements for new database architecture
  • Publish and/or present design reports
  • Identify areas of improvement in current systems
  • Coordinate with other team members to reach project milestones
  • Audit database and data flow to maintain quality
  • Create systems to keep data secure and compliant
  • Ensure best practices in data management are being followed
  • Build proof of concepts using new cloud technology
  • Design and optimize data pipelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-10 years of experience in SQL Server (2016 or 2019 preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience with MySQL
  • 5-10 years of experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • 5 or more years of experience with Data Modeling
  • 5 or more years of experience with developing and maintaining Process maps
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
  • Health care experience is preferred
