Position Summary
The Medical Economics Analyst will be responsible for supporting Healthmap’s strategic and operational initiatives through data analytics and modeling. This individual will assist in developing pricing and risk models for new or prospective clients, analyze operational results for existing clients, and report results to senior management and external clients where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with complex actuarial and medical economics projects including trend calculations, reserving estimates, risk score calculations, risk assessments and savings analyses
- Compile, organize, categorize, and analyze large data sets using SQL
- Update actuarial and medical economic models used to forecast cost and utilization statistics
- Work with various cross-functional teams including sales, data sciences, product development, and clinical services
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or similar background
- 1-2 years practical work experience preferred
Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with medical economics and actuarial forecasting
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
