Position Summary
The Senior Database Developer is responsible for the development, implementation and testing of data extraction, transformation, and load programs for large database projects. This role will act as a subject matter expert for operation data, working with the lead architects to understand their vision and develop based on the high-level direction. The Database Developer will work with internal project delivery teams to design solutions and implement programs according to the requirements and timelines specified.
Responsibilities
- Perform transformation and loading of data according to the business specifications
- Define, prepare, execute and implement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality
- Perform enhancements and bug fixes as required
- Research issues by writing ad hoc queries to identify root cause
- Track work progress and report status via issue tracking system
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5-10 years of experience developing ETL processes in Microsoft SSIS
- 5-10 years of experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Health care experience is preferred
