Summary/Overview

Healing Partners is a rapidly growing wound care management company based in the Mid-Atlantic region currently hiring a Cash Applications Specialist. Reporting directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager, the Cash Applications Specialist will assist with revenue and billing operations within their scope.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Post deposits and other transactions associated with remittance advice from payers.

· Review credit balances for possible distribution to other debit balances.

· Ensure all validated Government payer refunds are processed in a timely manner or within the payer guidelines.

· Ensure that proper documentation is attached to all refund requests.

· Ensure all incoming refund requests are processed in a timely manner.

· Reconcile refund postings.

· Validate payment posting to deposit register.

· Notify the Revenue Cycle Manager of any trends identified in workflows that are creating credit balances.

· Identify areas for improvement, recommend solutions and assist in developing workflow efficiencies.

 

 

 

 

Education & Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 1 year of healthcare payment posting and refund experience

 

 

Qualifications

· Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care billing and reimbursement guidelines

· Detail oriented, problem solver/analytical, flexible and self-motivated

· Proficiency with Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel)

· Organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Works well independently and in a team setting

· Ability to type 45+ words per minute
