Role Description
We are looking for a Staff System Integration Engineer. You will report to Director, Broadband System Integration. You will be required to work on key customer account(s) in North America Mountain time-zone.
 
Location
On-site – This position will be based in Denver, Colorado.  Occasional travel is required.
 
 
What you will be doing:
 
  • Support activities for cOSTM client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials.
  • Design IP networking ecosystem with Harmonic cOSTM platform to support Customer Use Cases.
  • Communicate with marketing, engineering, and sales team about client expectations.
  • Responsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering.
  • Design, execute, and lead client field trials.
  • Train clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the cOSTM system.
  • Train field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of cOSTM system and any new features that are supported.
  • Assist with deployments and technical support as needed.
  • Assist with supporting customers in conjunction with Harmonic’s 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve Customer issues on-site in a timely manner and if needed escalate problems for assistance.
  • Resolving equipment performance related issues within Harmonic equipment and in conjunction with Harmonic application partners, utilizing Harmonic’s technical issue logging/escalation systems as appropriate.
  • Develop detailed customer installation and system integration plans, ensuring seamless implementation of solutions.
  • Act as a key technical liaison on customer projects, ensuring that technical requirements are met and expectations are aligned.
 
What you should have:
 
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent;
  • 7+ years direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting.
  • Strong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack is a “must”.
  • Experience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers is a “must”.
  • Ability to understand technical documentation including Software/Hardware Configuration Guides, schematics, work instructions, test procedures, etc.
  • Problem solving, analytical and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of DOCSIS, CMTS configuration and troubleshooting is a “must”.
  • Knowledge of FTTX is a plus.
  • Experience in pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations and feasibility analysis, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to develop and present technical solutions to customers and internal team. 
 
Travel
 
  • Work mostly in customer Lab or office.
  • Occasional travel to deployment site(s) for investigation or training purpose.
  • Harmonic Corp office for training.
 
Pay & Benefits
 
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $125,000 - $165,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
