Job Description

      The cycle counter is responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to MP&L Department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervisor
• Highlight areas of concern associated with inventory problems and communicate facts to supervisor any property loss, damage, destruction of inventory/materials
• Maintains inventory cycle count and schedules
• Conduct regular physical verification to determine the actual quality and account for variances
• Familiar with location of material in order to locate and count inventory in timely manner
• Operate a forklift and possibly work at height
• Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Track and report non-conforming product
• Pro-active approach, and follow up on items of concern to minimize adverse outcomes
• Identify, remove and communicate outdated or obsolete materials from active shelves
• Follow and maintain an environmental health and safe work environment conditions by complying with all Hanon Systems Integrated Management Systems procedures, standards, and regulations
• Additional duties as may be assigned

Years of Experience

• Experience with material handling/cycle counting/inventory a plus

Degree Preferred

• High School with Diploma.  Bachelor degree in field related with production and inventory control and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred

• Experience using SAP required
• Experience in manufacturing processes, productivity, and scheduling activities
• Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization skills
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Ability to understand customer demand and how MP&L effects production to meet demand
