Job Description

 

This position requires a working knowledge of Hanon internal injection molding and assembly processes.  The quality technician must learn how to use all gages including those used to accept/reject product in both its molded and assembled form (finish goods end of line gages) to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Support production in a timely and effective manner
  • Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase
  • Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken
  • Educate production team on quality issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Calibration/verification of torque for screw drivers used on the line
  • Inspect outgoing service orders for completeness and visual quality
  • Be familiar with all quality procedures, work instructions and forms
  • Supports and participates in EHS objectives

 

 

Years of Experience

  • 3 years preferred

 

Degree Preferred

  • High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus

 

 

Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers and other hand gages
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Possess basic math skills and can read, comprehend, and follow written work instructions
  • Must have satisfactory attendance record. Preferred exemplary attendance

 

 

Special Requirements (i.e.: Overtime, Travel, etc.)

 

  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
  • Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
  • Must be able to work overtime to cover other shifts
