Job Description:   
  • This person will be primarily responsible for providing full range of day-to-day HR support for specified business units within the Americas Innovation Center in Novi, MI.
 Primary Responsibilities:   
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting; onboarding and exits; compensation; leaves of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Assists with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Develops and analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.           
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with L&D Specialist to support the framework that enables our peoples’ development and continuous learning
  • Define and shape career paths with clear objectives and goals for our employees in collaboration with stakeholders and working with our FG Leads to implement them
  • Enforce company policies and practices, and participate in developing new organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Support and collaborate on employee relations issues to ensure legal compliance and maintain a respectful working environment for all employees
  • Coach and develop managers and key talents, drive development initiatives and succession planning to ensure longer term success
  • Consult and coach business leaders on organizational change management and employee issues
  • Champion employee engagement through effective communication and retention programs
  • Facilitate and drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent
  • Serve as a leadership facilitator when needed.
  • Provide a problem-solving approach to business partnership, open to inputs and ideas while capable of pushing back where needed and executing once a decision has been made
  • Contribute to our feedback culture through the creation and implementation of creative feedback processes
  • Implement and monitor professional and robust HR processes ie. Onboarding
  • Support the development of the local HR team
  • Facilitate HR planning and recruitment process
  • Lead the HR controlling processes such as Headcount
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local guidelines and with the Hanon policies
  • Develop and improve a valuable cooperation with the target universities
  • Develop and implement an effective two-way employee communications program that fosters understanding of key business and HR issues
  • Support the technology change in the automotive industry with appropriate HR initiatives
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • Other responsibilities as required 
Years of Experience   
  • 3-5 years of experience as HR Generalist is required
Education   
  • BS/BA Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related major preferred.

  • Good user knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Very good operative and strategic consulting and solution competence in all HR areas

  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, (ADP, Workforce SAP, Success Factors, etc)
  • Must be able to deliver world-class customer service to our employees
