POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
The Shipping Supervisor oversees and supervises warehouse employees and drivers on an assigned shift to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on time while complying with company policy. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Supervise shipping operations department operations on an assigned shift.
  • Ensure that customer parts/products are correctly processed, labeled, loaded and shipped in a timely manner per customer schedule.
  • Follow, explain and clarify company policies and procedures to shipping team members.
  • Lead and ensure team members follow company safety requirements and PPE.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities, hire, discipline, review performance and set expectations for their direct reports.
  • Manage issues that arise in the daily operations and report to management as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE: 
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with operating powered industrial trucks such as forklift and tugger required.
  • Computer skills such as SAP, MS-Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs, to reach 7ft or shipping rack labeling.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Supervises shipping employees 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Production floor, shipping office.
