PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
Since 2003, a Hanon Systems facility in Shorter, Alabama, has been proudly producing automotive A/C systems and components for vehicle manufacturers. With more than 290,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, the Alabama plant of Hanon Systems is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment and a multi-cultural workforce that is sharply focused on operational excellence and safe work practices.
Production Technician is responsible for understanding the functions of the production equipment and being able to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments as needed, performing required PM and tooling changes to support production process, ensuring product quality through scrap analysis, equipment monitoring, continuous improvement and 5S. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive.
Startup designated machines as to the Engineer’s or Supervisor’s direction.
Normal production hours to support production supervisors and engineers for scrap reduction activities, troubleshooting, routine machine adjustments, and covering T/M absents and production requirement.
Be able to run all production related equipment and tooling in assigned area to support production in case of emergency.
Monitor equipment and tooling to ensure they are maintained according to the daily check sheets.
Qualifications
Minimum College level diploma in Mechanical/Electrical or 2+ Year manufacturing experience (Maintenance and/or production)
Must have strong work ethic and mechanical ability
Must be able to work overtime and some weekends
Strong leadership and accountability
Must be able to use PC and knowledge of Microsoft Office
