Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible to plan, organize, and execute module builds for internal and external customers with required quality and on-time delivery
  • Plan Build Room activities to support on-time customer order build, test, ship, and rework
  • Lead the on-time completion of Process Documentation, including Incoming Inspection details, Inventory Management, Process Check List, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, Reaction Plan, Rework, Warranty, Part Return, etc. which support a quality, on-time build and test process for each module
  • Develop process policies, standard procedures, and training documentation to support product quality, efficient issue resolution, and associate skill training
  • Plan Build Room layout and overall process flow, including leading collaboration with Hanon lab manager, Facilities, Health and Safety, Prototype, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Product Engineering teams
  • Responsible for directing and tracking the technician team for daily tasks, ensuring processes are followed, identifying skill gaps and training opportunities, and forecast workload against upcoming module orders
  • Conduct and document daily morning meetings to set and track the day's goals, technician's jobs, and expected short-term builds and ship quantities
  • Document process quality failures and lead cross-team discussions as necessary to resolve and close. Support Design failures with written information and photos for Product Development (PD) Engineers to evaluate
  • Liason with Health and Safety to evaluate and address any Build Room safety concerns (not related to the hardware/software of the module prototype process)
  • Key contact and coordinator for any requested lab visits (internal or external)
  • Execution or Coordination for ordering Build Room indirect materials and supplies such as oils, towels, bins, liquids, markers, etc.
  • Admin of MES system and backup coordinator for MES activities (troubleshooting, issue resolution, updates, etc.) to the Process Lead Engineer.
  • Interface with multiple product groups such as PD Departments, Advanced Systems, Manufacturing, Program Management, Lab, Accounting, etc.  
  • Perform daily practices related to Safety, Quality, and 5S.
  • Cross-trained with Prototype Lead Engineer and Prototype Coordinator to support team coverage as needed.
  • Trained member of Hanon Emergency Response Team.
  • Follow all company policies.
  • All other assigned duties.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of related experience preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred 
Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications
  • Knowledge in MES execution and updates, including experience in Fastener Torque and Rundown settings and best practices
  • Understanding of Safety and Ergonomic requirements, considerations, and lessons learned
  • New implementation of Work Cells, Process Tests, and Tooling specs, installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance
  • Experience in project planning and management 
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally interface and negotiate with internal and external customers related to the Primary Responsibilities 
  • Ability to respond well to feedback
  • Ability to work professionally and communicate effectively in a diverse environment with multiple teams
Special Requirements (i.e., Overtime, Travel, etc.)
  • Occasional (<10%) travel to suppliers, customers, corporate offices, and manufacturing plants, including some international travel, as deemed necessary          
  • Standing 8 hours regularly
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Follow and maintain environmental health and safety work environment conditions by complying with all Hanon Systems, integrated management system, procedures, standards, and regulations.
