Job Description     
The Warranty Manager will manage the warranty team and all aspects of warranty for specific customers.  The manager will interface with a variety of levels and disciplines within Hanon Systems, which include: Finance, Manufacturing, Product Development, Program Management, Sales, and Purchasing.  These role and responsibilities below are not meant to be all inclusive and, therefore, the needs of the Company may require individuals to perform other functions. 
   
  Primary Responsibilities     
  • Lead and manage regional warranty team (direct and indirect) when applicable based upon regional organization
  • Customer negotiations of warranty concern
  • Lead and/or consultant for regional plants
  • First escalation point for customers and Hanon Systems plants
  • Prepare warranty spending approvals for DOA process
  • Track and report warranty regional spending as needed
  • Possible Global Warranty Champion for OEM’s located in the region.
  • Contract negotiations
  • Prior to sourcing
  • Change to current Ts&Cs
  • Support and lead the implementation of a standardized warranty part analysis procedure
  • 8D usage for parts analysis
  • Database usage for parts returned
  • Monthly updated predictions for high impact warranty spending programs
  • Lead or support task force teams for key warranty concerns (preventive or active)
  • Work with the quality systems on improving data (speed, usage and accuracy)
  • Lead /participate in relevant QIT meetings
  • Participate in regional quality reviews
  • Track all open warranty issues, risks and opportunities and report monthly
Years of Experience     
  • 8 - 10 years experience in Engineering (BS) and or Quality (Warranty Analysis preferred)
Degree Preferred     
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BS); MBA strongly preferred
Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications     
  • Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of applicable customer specific requirements (internal candidate only)
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required
