Job Description and Performance Standards
Title: Cook 558019004
Department: Food & Nutrition Services
Reports To: Food Service Supervisor/Chef
Shift: Varies 6:00am-7:00pm to include weekends
Responsible for the preparation of quality foods for patients, associates and guests under the supervision of the Chef.
Education: High school degree. Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills required.
Experience: Six months experience in hospital, institutional, or restaurant food preparation preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a typical institution kitchen setting subject to the hazards associated with such an environment including wet surfaces, cleaning and cooking equipment, and sharp instruments. Moderate amounts of lifting, stooping, stretching and bending. Extended periods of standing or walking are required.
