Job Description and Performance Standards
Title: Nutrition Service Assistant 558019009
Department: Food Service
Reports To: Food Service Supervisor
Shift: Varies 1:00pm-6:30pm, 4 days a week and every other weekend
Performs a variety of food service duties in the process of portioning, set up and service of food. Assembles patient trays, stocks galleys and records temperatures.
Education: High School level abilities. Able to read at 9th grade level.
Experience: Food handling experience preferred.
Skills: Able to read English.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a typical institution kitchen setting subject to the hazards associated with such an environment including wet surfaces, cleaning and cooking equipment, and sharp instruments. Moderate amount of lifting, stooping, pushing, stretching and bending. Extended periods of standing or walking are required. Must have capacity to learn diet modifications.
