Title: Program Supervisor 559541604
Department: Bradley Wellness Center
Reports To: Facility and Operations Manager
Shift: Hours Vary, Monday-Friday
Status: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and promoting BWC fitness, recreation and education programs. Supervision of childcare and contract instructors and performance of Fitness staff responsibilities such as floor coverage, class instruction and writing articles for local magazines and newspapers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum B.S. degree in Health Education or Allied Health Science
Licensure: CPR certified.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in health promotion position. Preferred experience in management of a health promotion program in a wellness or fitness center.
Skills: Computer skills including use of publishing and promotional design software, extensive writing skills, creativity, excellent communication skills with media, ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Required organizational skills with the ability to see projects from conceptualization to completion. Ability to interview, hire, train and evaluate contract instructors and staff for programs and childcare being offered at Bradley Wellness Center.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment is typically in an office setting with some requirements to teach classes, cover front-line areas and evaluate instructors in the field. The position includes a moderate amount of stress associated with the need to meet or exceed customers and associates expectations. Occasional lifting is required during the set up for performance of certain classes, collecting towels during locker room rounds and covering the exercise floor.
