Title:  Procurement Manager - 558001685

Department:  Materials Management

Reports To:  Director, Materials Management

Shift:  Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the procurement of all goods in accordance with existing contracts, professional standards and guidelines on cost, quality and service.  Responsible for setting goals related to cost savings, supply formularies, contract adherence and standard procedures.  Manages and coordinates the activities of the buyers in the Materials Management department.  Maintains relationship with vendors or suppliers.  Responsible for item master maintenance, contract maintenance, and vendor management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field. 

Experience:  Minimum five years progressive purchasing, buyer and vendor management experience. Minimum two years supervisory or management experience.  Purchasing experience in healthcare industry with medical supply knowledge preferred.         

Skills: Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.  Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills. Previous experience with automated Materials Management System and Electronic Data Interchange System.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.  Ability to acquire and maintain working knowledge of Premier MMIS, Vizient Marketplace and GHX Electronic Data Interchange systems.
