Department: HPG Pulmonary Critical Care
Reports To: Critical Care Medical Director
Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-12:00pm Friday
Status: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY
This position requires a clinician with a high degree of knowledge, skills and competence in nursing to provide professional healthcare to critical care patients. The clinician will evaluate and utilize healthcare plans as related to specific patient care needs. The clinician will serve as professional liaison between patients, staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and administration.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree in Clinical Nursing program required. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.
Licensure: Maintain unrestricted Georgia Medical License, DEA, ACLS, and BLS
Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Has ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and logically. Has ability to analyze information and solve problems. Demonstrates accuracy and an attention to detail. Demonstrates ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely orally. Has ability to maintain confidences. Exhibits current clinical knowledge and expertise for designated patient populations. Accountable for continued competence in nursing practice and clinical outcomes in accordance with current evidenced-based practice guidelines, ability to work as a team, and commitment to quality, patient safety and overall excellence in evidence based clinical care.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in the healthcare setting with patients and families. Required to work flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays and evening hours as needed. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluid.
