Job Description and Performance Standards
Title: LPN, Outpatient Clinic 554582100
Department: Diabetes and Endocrinology Center
Reports To: Provider/ Office Manager
Shift: 7:45am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:45am-12:30pm Friday
Hamilton Diabetes and Endocrinology Center (HEC) is a specialty education and physician practice focused on diabetes and endocrinology operated by Hamilton Medical Center (HMC).
To perform nursing services and set standards to assure professional, skilled program of care and treatment is administered. Responsible for accommodating the needs of the physician by controlling patient flow, preparing patients for exams and aiding physician with routine procedures.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
Licensure: Current LPN License in the State of Georgia, Current CPR Certification
Experience: Medical office or hospital experience preferred but not required; Bilingual in Spanish required
Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.

Physical, Mental, Environmental and Working Conditions
Works in outpatient clinic health care setting with adult, adolescents and geriatric patients with minor health related medical problems. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
