Title:  Cardiovascular Services Manager (includes Cath Lab, EV Lab, CV Recovery, Cardiology) 554281584

Department:  Cardiovascular Service Line

Reports To:  Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator

Shift:  8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday 

Status:  Full Time

JOB SUMMARY 

The Cardiovascular services Manager is a Registered Nurse who is accountable, in conjunction with the CV Service Line Administrator, for patient care management, human resource utilization and the operational management of Cardiovascular departments.  This position is considered a leader in Nursing Administration.  The Cardiovascular services Manager assists in selecting, developing and evaluating staff in order to achieve optimal productivity, positive morale and the best utilization of individuals and the group.  The Cardiovascular services Manager is expected to have oversight of all functions.  The Cardiovascular services Manager is accountable for scheduling, associate, patient, and physician satisfaction, and for the shared governance model of care.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.  BSN expected within reasonable time period.

Licensure:  Current RN License in the State of Georgia

Experience:  Three years of clinical experience and some management experience preferred. 

Skills:  Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.  Good interpersonal skills and ability to learn management skills.
 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in office and acute health care setting with adult, neonates, pediatric, adolescents and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical problems.  Requires flexible work schedule and On-call responsibilities.  Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.  Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  Requires working under stressful conditions.  Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
