Hackbarth Delivery Service, Inc is a leading logistics and distribution company committed to delivering excellence in service. We take pride in our dedicated team, and we're looking for a Class A CDL Driver to join us in our mission to efficiently handle and distribute goods to our customers. 
The ideal candidate should have a valid CDL Class A license, a strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills. Forklift experience is required.
 
 
Available Shift:   Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights 
 Start Time: 6:00pm - 4:00am
Payrate:  $18.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE                  
       
      Key Responsibilities: 
      • Operate a CDL-certified vehicle for scheduled Night Linehauls, including:
        • Birmingham to Montgomery and back to Mobile: Pickup and drop-off on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights.
        • Friday nights to Jackson, Mississippi: Pickup and drop-off with a return trip to Mobile.
      • Serve as a backup driver for any additional Linehauls or routes as needed, ensuring all critical deliveries are completed.
      • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
      • Accurately log hours and maintain documentation in line with DOT regulations.
      • Communicate effectively with dispatch and terminal management to address any adjustments to routes, delays, or issues that arise during runs.
       
      Qualification and Requirements: 
        • Two Years' tractor trailer Class A experience is required!
        • CDL (Commercial Driver's License): To be CDL driver, you'll need a valid CDL Class A license and must be able to safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
        • Availability to work the specified schedule and flexibility to cover additional routes when required.
        • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
        • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
        • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English, and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.
        • Must have the ability to properly operate a handheld device when required.
        • Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
        • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and extended periods of time.
        • Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Department of Transportation.
        • Must have previous forklift experience.
       
      Additional Information:

      This position offers a stable schedule with structured routes. The driver will also act as a backup for other Linehauls as needed.
