Picking Lead (7am-3pm)
Description
SUMMARY: To coordinate workers in Picking duties and to ensure one-day turnaround of all orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Distributes daily work assignments in accordance with procedures established by Picking Supervisor;
- Monitor productivity of workers and document any system or personnel problems;
- Keep Supervisor informed of any projected delays, shift staff into case Picking or Order Checking/Kitting as work is completed;
- Train new employees in Picking procedures, equipment and safety issues;
- Assist Supervisor with annual performance reviews;
- Assist with work backlogs as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Picking Associates; Picking Coordinators

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds;
- Excellent communication, problem documentation, delegation, team leadership skills;
- Ability to master warehouse WMS system;
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency and Pick-To-Light technology helpful;
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to at least a high school diploma and minimum 2 yrs. warehouse Lead experience preferred.
