SUMMARY: The Vice President of Distribution Technology & Intelligence, reporting to the CEO of HBGUS Distribution, is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions and data intelligence capabilities that support distribution operations. This role drives innovation, efficiency, and scalability across distribution networks by leveraging advanced technologies, analytics, and systems integration. The VP partners cross-functionally to align technology and data strategies with business objectives, enabling operational excellence and informed decision-making.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution technology and data intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing management of distribution-related systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP integrations).
  • Oversee data governance, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives to enhance visibility, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, IT, and finance leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across distribution and logistics functions.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor operational performance and support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of all technology platforms supporting distribution activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements for technology solutions and data services.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across technology and analytics functions.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for distribution technology investments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, data privacy standards, and internal policies.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive advantage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or related discipline) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology, distribution, logistics, or data analytics roles.
  • Experience in a senior leadership or executive-level role preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, data analytics certifications) are a plus.
