Program dates: June 1st, 2026 – End date: August 6th, 2026
 
Location: Remote or NYC Hybrid (up to three days—Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday—per week on-site)
 
Company laptop will be provided for the duration of the program.
 
Weekly schedule: 28 hours per week, Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
 
Pay rate: $17.00/hour
 
As an HBG BI Product Team intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on professional experience as you own day-to-day tasks, help with special projects, and attend departmental meetings.
The hybrid summer intern will support our team by assisting the BI Product Team with projects. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn about the information technology industry and how it applies to publishing and be part of a creative team.
To enhance your work experience, we offer educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments of the company as well as networking and career development opportunities.
 
Who you are:   
  • Interested in exploring a career in business intelligence, project management, and/or product management.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Possess a great attitude and a desire to learn as well as excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute insights
  • Resourceful with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and work independently
  • Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
What you will learn: 
  • Organizing the development queue in JIRA to be sure we are tracking our Software Development Life Cycle as efficiently as possible.
  • Performing backlog cleanup of our Finance service request queue in Cherwell.
  • Crafting communication for internal and external users in Canva.
  • Assisting in application training sessions and updating training documents in Canva.
  • Updating our Analytics Hub on MS Sharepoint with relevant updates and helpful guidance.
  • Collaborating on requirements gathering for small projects.
