Equipment Maintenance Supervisor
Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of powered and manual equipment within Indiana’s three facilities, including scheduling preventive maintenance, assigning repair tasks to technicians, ensuring safety standards are met, overseeing the part supply shop, and leading a team of maintenance personnel to maintain optimal equipment functionality. This position is also responsible for managing the Maintenance Helpers/Janitorial responsibilities for all three facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule the daily workflow of direct reports.
- Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical and electrical problems with warehouse powered equipment.
- Set up and maintain a Powered Equipment Preventative Maintenance Program including Employee Training Guides.
- Assist the Safety Administrator and Director of Facilities with meeting and recording OSHA safety requirements.
- Responsible for vendor communication, including pricing, servicing, and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
- Regularly update activity to Director of Facilities to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Participate in the interviewing and onboarding of new hires.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Will be hands on with daily workloads as needed and will need experience/expertise in the following areas:
- Advanced wire guided material handling equipment repair.
- Advanced hydraulic systems component repair
- Advanced electrical / electronic controls repair
- Ability to read and interpret electrical / electronic schematics.
- General Facility maintenance and repair
- Basic industrial electrical knowledge 120/208 to 277/480 3 phase voltages
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Director of Facilities with development of maintenance budgets as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance Employees, Janitorial Staff

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and ability.
- PC skills helpful, particularly word-processing, spreadsheet-Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with hours/on-call basis.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
- Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to at least a high school diploma and a minimum of 10 years Supervisor or related experience is preferred.
