Oversee the daily activities of production materials receiving and putaway, materials delivery and replenishment to the production line and service parts daily shipping. Implement and sustain efficient and effective internal logistics operation in order to achieve Inventory accuracy, on time material availability to the line and overall productivity of the operation.
Establish, set, train and audit standard work for all area processes.
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, and transportation
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
Liaise with suppliers and vendors
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
10-15 years in internal logistics operations role, of which 7 are in leading the operation
Experience with 3PL start-ups from ground up
Practical experience with a Lean Production System, namely pull production and replenishment
Preference given to candidates with proven 3PL logistics leadership experience with proven results
Where will you work? This role is located at Autocar headquarters in Birmingham, AL
