Responsibilities: The successful candidate will draw upon their knowledge of relevant industries to develop a competitive product offering and efficient processes that connect common parts and original equipment parts to the end customer.  The Director of Dealer Sales must work closely with the GVW Distributor Development Team and Autocar sales and service teams to meet the customer needs.


  • Bring existing customer relationships and contacts to the GVW Dealer Sales business.  Develop relationships with key customer decision makers
  • Understand the customer business needs and values
  • Meet the identified needs and values by developing a competitive product offering and efficient delivery process
  • Share key customer and market information with the Parts Sourcing and Product Management organizations.

  • Provide leadership, vision and direction to a high profile and growing sales organization by developing talent to deliver top-line growth.
  • Develop and build a very effective team of “A” player performers that drive the organization to continuously improve the customer experience by: streamlining / simplifying processes and accelerating out speed to market objectives.
  • Partner with the GVW Distributor Development Team and work with critical organizations (major product line sales, warranty, and customer solutions) to develop an effective, repeatable solution for key Dealer customers.


  • Ensure that all customer touch points and feedback loops are connected end to end. Align company processes and resources to meet / exceed GVW’s customer needs.
  • Manage and optimize the customer lifecycle methods and process, responsible for increasing pipeline conversion, and continually finding new ways to improve targeting and realization of full market opportunities.


  • Assure that the right product is on the shelf, in the right location, at the right price to meet the customer needs
  • Monitor changing customer needs and competitor trends to ensure we continuously refine and upgrade our product offerings.

Operational Excellence:

  • Meet annual sales growth targets
  • Grow customer “share of wallet” with a focus on Common and Matchmade parts.
  • Expand customer use of E-Commerce ordering


  • Experience in the waste industry
  • Prior experience managing and leading a sales team
  • Proven track record of using data for decision making

Where will you work? The Director of GVW Sales can be based nationwide. Frequent travel to Highland Park, Illinois and Hagerstown, Indiana, approximately 50% of time will be travel.
