Cost Accountant

 

Position Description:

Autocar is seeking a Cost Accountant to be a part of the Finance team. The Cost Accountant will report to the Controller.  Responsibilities will include quote costing and validation of data and assumptions for multiple Autocar product lines, capital expenditures, change management, regulatory filings, month end accounting, inventory analysis and reconciliation, sales tax, Canadian GST, assist with financial audits, physical inventory, BOM analysis, selling price updates and ad-hoc projects

 

REQUIREMENTS

Three plus years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related area

Strong systems background including Advanced Excel knowledge

Knowledge of ERP systems and Business Intelligence reporting tools

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent customer service with both internal and external customers

Strong analytical skills

Detail oriented, accurate and organized

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Responsible and trustworthy when handling confidential information

Self-starter with a proactive work style

 Salary:
Starting at 70,000
