Head of Talent Acquisition
Description
HEAD OF TALENT ACQUISITION
GVW Group, LLC is looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition ready to lead and scale the enterprise talent strategy across our portfolio of companies, combining data, technology, best-in-class hiring practices, and people who are passionate about what they do to consistently attract and hire top talent.
Be a Part of Something Big
GVW Group is a dynamic private investment and industrial holding company dedicated since 1993 to growing and starting businesses. We take an entrepreneurial approach to building value for our scalable early stage, high-growth, and mid-sized operating companies by providing strategic expertise and resources. Along the way, we have expanded globally into diverse industries ranging from manufacturing to technology, distribution, big data, engineering, and energy efficiency.
Being privately owned, our team members act with an owner mindset: Relentless about creating value for the customer. Dogged about finding efficiencies and eliminating waste. Standing arm in arm with the rest of the team until the job is done—and ready to do it again the next day, with a smile. We think outside the box and do what no one has done before - but should have.
It is not easy to do things differently, but we do it - because we are passionate about improving our business and the lives of the people who are at the heart of it. We hire and develop people who love to deliver, do what they say, and continually exceed expectations.
If you are energized by leading a purpose-driven talent acquisition team and raising the bar on how we attract, source, and hire top talent, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute enterprise talent acquisition strategies, building a scalable talent engine that enables the business to consistently attract and hire exceptional people.
- Ensure that all aspects of the talent acquisition function (employer branding, sourcing channels and pipelines, selection processes, etc.) are aligned with enterprise and individual operating company priorities and deliver measurable improvements in workforce capability.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, business leaders, and hiring managers to ensure the talent acquisition strategy is fit for purpose.
- Design a roadmap for a talent acquisition function that ensures long-term organizational capability and is in line with best-in-class practices, the company’s organizational objectives, and the People Promise. Establish purposeful and consistent hiring standards and structured selection processes.
- Drive initiatives and targeted plans that enable individual operating companies to attract and hire talent effectively within their markets and niche industries.
- Identify future workforce needs and proactively develop pipelines for critical roles. Establish relationships and create a company presence and/or awareness within industry networks, professional associations, educational institutions, trade shows, etc. Leverage diverse and targeted channels to effectively conduct active sourcing.
- Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing enterprise Talent Acquisition Team focused on delivering measurable business outcomes. Establish clarity in process, standards, job opening assignments, prioritization, and communication of status and required actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business leaders, hiring managers and HR team to ensure compliance with internal mobility processes and voice successes, challenges, frustrations and ways they can help, as well as suggestions that may assist them.
- Develop the best-in-class metrics of performance that impacts business and ensure that it’s part of our DNA for success. Ensure accurate and up-to-date hiring data and reporting. Plan and prioritize roles to meet and exceed deadlines. Provide management with regular updates on status of all requisitions.
- Drive continuous process improvement with creative strategies and a frugal mindset to build a WOW candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Lead vendor partnerships (with search firms, job portals, LinkedIn, etc.) to enable cost, quality, and agility.
- Operate at strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Recruit for VP-level and above positions, and others as needed to satisfy organizational needs.
- Ensure adherence to all established processes and budgets for each role as approved. Use allocated resources such as websites, memberships, and software, and continually seek ideas for improving overall efficiency.
The duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative but not exhaustive of the tasks that the employee may be required to perform. Management reserves the right to modify, add, or remove duties and to assign other tasks as necessary to meet business needs.
