Summary:
As Chief Business Officer (CBO) at GVW Group, you will serve as a key accountable leader and enabler of operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of companies in commercial vehicle manufacturing, distribution, and engineering services.
Your mandate is to support each business platform in achieving its full potential — ensuring results are realized through sound operational execution disciplined Business model, and unwavering adherence to GVW’s customer-first business model.
Reporting directly to the Chairman, you will work alongside company leaders to oversee their performance, remove obstacles, and strengthen processes that drive sustainable growth and profitability. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role for a proven operator who excels at helping organizations perform at their best while maintaining agility, customer focus, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Enablement
- Support the leadership teams of each platform in executing their strategic and operational priorities to deliver measurable results.
- Ensure that each business unit is positioned to realize its full potential through effective processes, strong management systems, and empowered leadership.
- Provide hands-on operational and financial guidance to improve efficiency, performance, and scalability while maintaining entrepreneurial agility.
- Uphold and reinforce GVW’s customer-first business model, and each business unique Business model that assures its advantages over competition ensuring that every operational decision supports long-term customer success and satisfaction.
Performance Transformation
- Partner with portfolio companies to identify improvement opportunities in operations, supply chain, and cost structure.
- Help establish and monitor performance metrics (KPI, EBITDA, cash flow) that reflect each business’s value creation potential.
- Support transformation and turnaround efforts where necessary — providing strategic insight, analytical rigor, and implementation discipline.
Strategic Growth & Execution
- Translate GVW’s strategic vision into clear, actionable operational priorities across the portfolio.
- Assure the Adherence and enhancement of the unique business model for the platform
- Identify opportunities for expansion, integration, or restructuring to enhance competitiveness and long-term enterprise value.
- Assist with M&A integration, ensuring alignment with GVW’s culture, systems, and customer-centric operating approach.
Governance & Financial Rigor
- Support and oversee P&L performance, cash flow discipline, and financial health across all operating platforms.
- Support and enhance transparent reporting frameworks that link operational activity to business results and value creation.
- Partner with the Chairman and executive leadership to ensure capital, talent, and systems are aligned with growth priorities. and Long-term growth of the businesses
Requirements
Education:
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred; demonstrated success in complex, hands-on operating environments is essential.
Experience:
- 15+ years of leadership across multi-site or portfolio operations, ideally within commercial vehicle, industrial, engineering, or distribution sectors.
- Proven record of supporting operational transformation, technology implementation, Demonstration of AI and Automation understanding and application improving performance and achieving measurable business results.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and capital equipment or distribution-based business models.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to connect operational actions to customer outcomes and business value.
- Experienced in building leadership capability and operational systems that sustain growth and innovation.

Work Environment: Ex. Office setting and plant environment
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment which may include dust mask, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
- Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
- While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
