Digital Marketing Manager – Demand Generation & ABM

Location: Durbanville, Cape Town

 

We’re hiring a Digital Marketing Manager to lead the transformation of Autocar’s marketing function into a modern, AI-enabled demand generation engine-built around account-based growth, measurable impact, and commercial outcomes.

You will design and operate a scalable, automated, and measurable growth engine that feeds qualified demand into Sales - not vanity metrics.

 

What You Will Own

  • Demand Generation (Primary Accountability)
    • Own digital pipeline across priority vocational segments
    • Design, execute, and continuously optimize multi-channel programs aligned to long-cycle B2B sales motions
    • Translate commercial priorities into measurable outcomes (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, CAC efficiency)
    • Ensure every program is tied to revenue impact—not activity
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) by Vocation
    • Build and operate ABM programs for priority named accounts and buying groups
    • Partner tightly with Sales and Commercial leadership to define target account lists, map buying committees, and personalize messaging, journeys, and offers
    • Operationalize ABM inside Market (and integrated platforms)
  • Marketing Automation & Marketo System
    • Own Marketo as the core demand engine
    • Design and maintain lead scoring models, nurture streams, lifecycle stage definitions, attribution logic, sales, and handoff rules
  • AIEnabled “Cruise Control” Execution
    • Design a modern AIenabled demand stack covering PPC optimization, keyword strategy & SEO, content variation testing, campaign performance optimization, and predictive insights and anomaly detection
    • Implement AI-driven marketing systems (automation, optimization, insights)
  • Paid, Organic & Search Performance Excellence
    • Own performance across paid search, SEO, and multi-channel campaigns
    • Continuously optimize spending based on pipeline contribution
    • Scale what works. Shut down what doesn’t.
  • VocationSpecific Messaging & Journeys
    • Translate deep vocational product knowledge into targeted, persona-driven journeys, applicationdriven messaging, and buyingstageappropriate assets
    • Ensure digital programs reflect Autocar’s engineering credibility and vocational authority —not generic OEM marketing
  • Measurement & Transparency
    • Build and own clear, transparent reporting, measurement, and dashboards tied to pipeline and ROI.

 

What You Bring

  • Proven experience owning B2B demand generation in complex, highconsideration environments.
  • Deep handson expertise with Marketo (not just familiarity).
  • Demonstrated success with ABM programs, ideally integrated with Sales.
  • Strong command of PPC, SEO / keyword strategy, funnel optimization, attribution logic, demand scoring
  • Practical experience applying AI tools in digital demand generation.
  • A builder mindset — someone who can create scalable systems from scratch
  • Systems thinker who designs for scale and repeatability.
  • Intellectually curious, especially around AI and automation.
  • Experience in industrial, OEM, manufacturing, or capital equipment environments.
  • Exposure to long sales cycles with multiple decisionmakers.
  • Comfort working with technical products and engineeringdriven organizations.
