Business Development Specialist: PA/VA Mixer

What will you do?
As Business Development Specialist (Mixer Truck), you will be part of a dynamic growing sales team representing an exciting recently launched superior, premium product, the DC-64, Severe Duty Conventional Work Truck, as well as the DC-64 w/ Autocar factory mounted roll-off hoist package ready truck (hoist and tarp stems installed on the truck chassis assembly line), leaves Autocar ready to work! This truck/hoist factory combo package an Autocar innovative industry first, and only! You will be responsible for driving sales efforts at all levels within the territory, and executing sales strategies, both individually, and using a team approach for assigned target areas. You will be responsible for prospecting new accounts, developing relationships, selling the Autocar value proposition and service promise that results in closing new business. In this role you will be selling direct to the end user fleets and contractors, focused on delivering profitable growth and increased market share of this growing business sector.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling premium, high value vocational products or services. Direct experience within the refuse industry or similar vocation, with a successful track record in Business to Business equipment sales is preferred. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, intellectually curious, has entrepreneurial mindset, some hunter DNA, and operates with the highest ethical standards.
What does it take to successfully undertake this role?
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- 5-15 years’ experience in outside sales within the refuse or similar industry
- Good organization skills, and coordinate own call schedule, daily planning
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Skilled in building relationships across a diverse mix of personas
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Power Point, and using a CRM tool are a necessity
- Ability to travel extensively (45 weeks out of the year)
- Strong work ethic, desire to work hard, strive for results and win
- Quick learner who requires minimal supervision and possesses good problem-solving skills
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Where will you work?
The Business Development Specialist role will work remotely, but will have a territory in the Northeast (VA, WV, PA, MD, NJ, CT, MA).
